THE Batang Pinoy Davao City Beach Volleyball Qualifying Tournament was held at Felis Resort, Davao City on July 12–13, 2025. Emerging as champions was Davao City National High School (DCNHS) Team B, coached by Archie Aparice with Melanie Ramirez as coach/trainer.
The team was composed of Danrie Daniolco and Ivan Jorojoro, who were former silver medalists in the Palarong Pambansa 2023 Elementary Boys Volleyball Tournament, and MJ Getizo, who was awarded Best Server in the PNVF U21 Davao Region Championships and placed fourth in the PNVF U21 Mindanao Championships.
Completing the powerhouse team was Mikey Bedua, a gold medalist and Most Valuable Player in the same Palarong Pambansa 2023 tournament.
Securing second place was the team from Brokenshire College of Toril, coached by Carlo Fulguerinas, and composed of Lloyd Sonny B. Batulan, James Christian B. Bragat, Reeze Jhovanne B. Cabrera, and Santino B. Serrano.
Taking third place was DCNHS Team A, coached by Melchien Cabido Garcia, with Melanie Ramirez again serving as coach/trainer. Team members included Raven Gratela, Ryan Bertoldo, Rhey Vicen, and Carl Reloj.
In addition to their regular school training, all three top teams enhanced their preparation through rigorous scrimmages and tune-up games at the Ariella Sobrang Saya Beach Volleyball Club, which significantly contributed to their improved performance and readiness for the tournament.
The champion team from DCNHS Team B will proudly represent Davao City in the Batang Pinoy Nationals, scheduled to take place in General Santos City from October 25 to 31, 2025. RGL
