In a strong show of commitment to easing the financial pressures faced by consumers, Primelectric Holdings Incorporated (PHI), through its subsidiaries MORE Power, Negros Power, and Bohol Light, announced significant power rate reductions for June 2025.
These three private distribution utilities have maintained their goal of delivering the most affordable, reliable, and efficient power services possible—a promise made to the communities they serve.
Bohol Light Cuts Power Rates by 75 Centavos per kWh. For June 2025 billings, residential consumers in Tagbilaran City will see their average rates drop from ₱11.07/kWh to ₱10.32/kWh.
This translates to a saving of ₱150 for a typical household consuming 200 kWh per month, offering extra room in household budgets for groceries, school supplies, or other essentials.
MORE Power announced that residential consumers in Iloilo City will see a 61-centavo per kilowatt-hour (kWh) drop in their electricity bills, bringing the rate down to ₱10.52 per kWh from ₱11.12 per kWh in May.
This translates to ₱122 savings for an average household consuming 200 kWh per month, and timely financial relief for families facing additional expenses for school supplies, uniforms, and other educational needs.
In Central Negros, Negros Power residential customers will now pay ₱11.14/kWh, down from ₱11.69/kWh last month — a ₱0.55/kWh reduction. This results in a saving of ₱110 for a household consuming 200 kWh per month.
The rate decrease is attributed to the utilities’ strategic energy trading at the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM) and lower transmission charges, driven by reduced Ancillary Services and Reserve Market rates
The said distribution utilities remained as the lowest rates in their respective regions.
