Vice President Sara Duterte on Monday confirmed her attendance at PDP Laban’s miting de avance on May 8 at Liwasang Bonifacio in Manila.
“Wala pa ako schedule sa kanila except iyong Miting de Avance sa Manila. Dahil noong nag-decide ako na mangampanya para sa mga senators ni President Duterte, noong dinala siya sa the Hague, tapos na iyong schedule na ginawa ng PDP. Hindi na siya puwede baguhin dahil nakahanda na lahat ng mga tao,” said Duterte in a chance interview.
(I don’t have a schedule with them yet except for the Miting de Avance in Manila. Because when I decided to campaign for President Duterte’s senators, when he was brought to the Hague, the party has already firmed up its schedules. We can’t change them.)
“So, ang napag-usapan namin ng Secretary General ng PDP, si Atty. Wendel Avisado is that doon ako sa Miting the Avance sasali,” she added.
(So, what we discussed with the Secretary General of the PDP, Atty. Wendel Avisado, is that I will be participating in the Miting de Avance.)
PDP Laban’s senatorial slate is composed of Bong Go, Bato dela Rosa, Jimmy Bondoc, Rodante Marcoleta, Philip Salvador, Atty. Vic Rodriguez, Atty. JV Hinlo, Atty. Raul Lambino, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, and Dr. Richard Mata.
During a campaign sortie of Manila mayoral candidate Isko Moreno, Duterte stressed the importance of “block voting” to ensure a unified direction in leadership and to avoid political infighting.
