The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) will bring cloudy skies and rain over Luzon on Tuesday, PAGASA reported.
Zambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro will have occasional rains due to the Southwest Monsoon as flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to heavy rains.
The forecast rainfall for the above-mentioned areas is 100 to 200 mm, according to PAGASA’s 5 a.m. heavy rainfall outlook.
Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Pangasinan, Benguet, Tarlac, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Marinduque, Romblon, Oriental Mindoro, and Camarines Norte will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Southwest Monsoon. Flash floods or landslides may possibly occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Pangasinan and Benguet may have 50 to 100 mm of rainfall today, PAGASA said.
The rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the Southwest Monsoon while flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may occur.
Forecast wind and coastal water conditions
The wind speed forecast for the northern and western sections of Luzon is moderate to strong and moving southwestward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The rest of Luzon will experience light to moderate winds moving southwestward with slight to moderate coastal waters.
The wind speed forecast for Visayas and Mindanao is light to moderate moving in the south to southwest direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
Sunrise will be at 5:42 a.m., sunset at 6:21 p.m.
PAGASA is also monitoring a tropical cyclone outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
It was last estimated to be located at 3,355 kilometers east of extreme Northern Luzon, packing maximum sustained winds of 85 kilometers per hour near the center ane gustiness of up to 105 km/h.
The tropical cyclone is moving east northeastward at a speed of 25 km/h. — BAP/KG, GMA News
