The Land Transportation Office in Northern Mindanao has issued a stern warning against car and motorcycle dealers for delaying the release of registration documents to new vehicle owners. LTO-Region 10 legal officer Bokheimen Mala stated that new vehicle owners can file complaints if dealers fail to provide the official receipt and certificate of registration within 11 days of purchase. Mala added that the LTO can issue a show-cause order to erring dealers. Meanwhile, the municipality of Carmen in Surigao del Sur has completed the construction of a ₱33-million evacuation center capable of accommodating 2,600 families during calamities. The 1,250-sq.m. facility includes a kitchen, laundry area, storage, clinic, breastfeeding station, prayer room, play area, sleeping quarters, gender-separated restrooms, dining area, and running water.
