Woman killed by riding-in-tandem in Caloocan

A woman, who was driving home from work was ambushed by a riding-in-tandem in a subdivision in North Caloocan on Monday evening.

According to Marisol Abdurahman’s exclusive report in “24 Oras” on Tuesday, the 46-year-old victim is said to be a vice president of a company that deals with armored trucks.

The victim suffered gunshot wounds in various parts of her body.

“Pagpasok po nila ng subdivision, siguro mahigit kumulang mga 200 meters lang po, pinutukan na po, tinapatan ng motorsiklo yung sasakyan ng ating biktima,” said Caloocan Police chief PCol. Joey Goforth.

(When they entered the subdivision, the suspects positioned themselves near the suspect’s car at around 200 meters.)

Investigation showed that the suspects were following the suspect along Teofilo Samson Road based on CCTV footage.

“Siya po ay sinundan ng riding criminal suspects natin, sa trabaho niya,” said Goforth.

(The riding criminal suspects followed her all the way from her work.)

While there was no CCTV footage of the shooting, another footage showed that the victim’s car hit other cars in the subdivision while the suspects can be seen moved forward and then a U-turn after the crime was committed.

“Siya po talaga ang punterya ng mga suspects natin,” said Goforth.

(She was really the target of the suspects.)

Authorities recovered six empty bullet from a .45 caliber pistol from the crime scene. Goforth said that the spent cartridges were subjected to ballistic testing.

The police are still looking into the motive behind the crime.

Although the police already had a person of interest, but refused to give further details while the investigation is ongoing. — Vince Angelo Ferreras/BAP, GMA Integrated News
