The expanded number coding scheme will be suspended on Wednesday, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said Tuesday.

May 1, Labor Day, is a regular holiday in the country.

It also advised motorists to plan their trips ahead, obey traffic rules and regulations, and always observe road courtesy.

Vehicles with license plates ending in 1 and 2 must obey the prohibition on Monday; vehicles with license plates ending in 3 and 4 on Tuesday; 5 and 6 on Wednesday; 7 and 8 on Thursday; and 9 and 0 on Friday.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
