The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Wednesday announced the suspension of the Expanded Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) on June 12, 2026 in observance of Independence Day.
“Suspendido ang pagpapatupad ng UVVRP o number coding scheme ng MMDA sa Biyernes, Hunyo 12, 2026, bilang paggunita sa Araw ng Kalayaan (Independence Day), isang regular holiday,” the MMDA said in an advisory.
(The implementation of the MMDA’s UVVRP or number coding scheme is suspended on Friday, June 12, 2026, in commemoration of Independence Day, a regular holiday,” the MMDA said in an advisory.
The MMDA noted that the number coding scheme is automatically suspended during regular holidays and special non-working holidays.
Motorists were advised to plan their trips ahead of the long weekend to avoid possible travel inconveniences.
The agency also reminded drivers to observe traffic regulations and practice road safety at all times. —VAL, GMA News
