The Land Transportation Office (LTO) on Saturday said that there was still a normal flow of people at two major bus terminals in Metro Manila one week before the commemoration of Undas.

The LTO is implementing “Oplan Biyaheng Ayos” for Undas, inspecting Cubao, Quezon CIty and the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX).

“Naitala ang normal na dami ng mga pasahero at napansin ang maayos na kondisyon at kalinisan ng mga palikuran ng mga bus, kung kaya’t napatunayan ding nasa maayos na kondisyon ang mga ito para bumiyahe,” the LTO said in a Facebook post.

(We recorded that there was a normal flow of people and we noticed that there are good conditions and the bus restrooms are clean, so it was proven that these are in good condition to drive.)

The LTO said that together with other agencies, it inspected the roadworthiness of seven buses at the JVH Terminal, RMB Terminal, and ELAVIL Terminal in Cubao.

At the PITX, there were 20 buses inspected. The LTO inspected 27 buses in total.

“Lahat ng 27 bus ay pumasa sa inspeksyon at napatunayang nasa maayos na kondisyon para bumiyahe,” the LTO said.

(All of the 27 buses passed the inspection and it was proven that they were in a proper condition to travel.)

The LTO said that it will continue to conduct inspection and monitoring across major terminals.

PITX is expecting around 1.9 million passengers this year amid the exodus for this year’s All Saints’ Day (Undas) break.

PITX spokesperson Jason Salvador said on Sunday that the influx of passengers is expected on the week of October 25.
