A fire broke out in a residential area in Barangay Buting, Pasig City late Wednesday evening that killed five people, including three minors.
Among the fatalities were a mother and her two children aged two and 11, as well as a father and his son aged 15, according to a report by Bam Alegre on GMA Integrated News’ Unang Balita on Thursday.
The fire started before 11 p.m. and reached the first alarm, prompting at least four fire trucks to respond. The fire was under control after 20 minutes.
Before midnight, the fire was declared out.
A total of 89 people or 18 families were staying in evacuation centers after the fire razed three structures.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) has yet to provide information on the cause of the fire and the estimated cost of damage. —Joviland Rita/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
