101-year-old man casts vote in Pasig City

A 101-year-old man was among those who lined up early to vote on Election Day.

As seen in Vonne Aquino’s report on the GMA Network election livestream, Romeo Santana cast his ballot at the San Miguel Elementary School in Pasig City on Moday.

Senior citizens, PWDs, and pregnant women have a designated polling precinct on the ground floor, but Santana walked up to the third floor. He was with his brother, 92-year-old Manuel.

Asked about his voting process, Santana said, “Mabuti naman. Asikasong-asikaso. Tinulungan kaming maghanap ng presinto, mayroon kaming guide papunta dito.”

Santana said that he pushed through with voting despite his old age because, “Gusto kong iboto ‘yung kandidatong gusto ko eh.”
