PAGCOR reports lower revenues in Jan-Sept.

MANILA – The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) said total revenues fell by 23.4 percent to PHP64.41 billion in the first nine months of the year due to weaker earnings from gaming operations and related services.

In a statement on Thursday, PAGCOR said revenues from electronic gaming sector dropped by 37.23 percent from PHP44.03 billion in 2025 to PHP27.63 billion this year.

Revenues from the licensed casino segment also went down by 3.22 percent to PHP23.10 billion.

PAGCOR’s Casino Filipino branches likewise posted lower revenues, which dropped by 8 percent to PHP7.28 billion from PHP7.91 billion, while revenues from poker operations also declined by 4.60 percent to PHP105.86 million.

Overall, revenues from gaming operations fell 23.44 percent to PHP58.13 billion from PHP75.93 billion in the same period last year.

PAGCOR’s net income likewise declined to PHP2.17 billion from PHP14.32 billion last year.

The drop in net income followed a Supreme Court ruling requiring PAGCOR to remit 5 percent of its gross revenues to the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), nearly double the previous remittance levels to the sports agency.

Despite the revenue dip, PAGCOR chairperson Alejandro Tengco said PAGCOR would continue to strengthen its operations and regulatory oversight while ensuring that revenues from regulated gaming continue to support government programs and services.

“While we recognize the impact of lower gaming revenues on our financial performance, PAGCOR remains committed to carrying out its mandate,” said Tengco.

“We will continue to pursue responsible and sustainable operations while ensuring that the gaming industry adheres to regulatory standards,” he added.

Despite lower revenues, PAGCOR said it remitted PHP45.28 billion in contributions to nation-building and other statutory obligations during the period.

Of the total, PHP27.61 billion went to the National Treasury, PHP3.01 billion to the PSC, and PHP2.90 billion was used to pay the government as franchise taxes.

PAGCOR also gave PHP11.19 billion for socio-civic projects, PHP511.95 million for Casino Filipino host cities, PHP28.22 million in sports incentives for national athletes and their coaches who win in international competitions, and PHP15.85 million in corporate income tax.
