Napolcom dismisses “Papogi” cop Suan over Taguig road rage incident

The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) en banc UNANIMOUSLY ordered the dismissal from the service of Police Corporal Simeon Dimaala Suan after finding him guilty of multiple administrative charges, including two (2) counts of Less Grave Misconduct, two (2) counts of Grave Misconduct, Oppression, and Conduct Unbecoming of a Police Officer.

It may be recalled that Suan aggressively assaulted and inflicted physical injuries on a 76-year-old senior citizen following a traffic dispute.

Alongside the penalty of dismissal, which includes the forfeiture of benefits and perpetual disqualification from public office, the Commission directed that a copy of the Decision be officially forwarded to the Office of the Bar Confidant, as Suan is an applicant for membership in the Philippine Bar.

“Good riddance. We need to cleanse the PNP of abusive cops. We will not miss him,” Commissioner Rafael Vicente R. Calinisan said.

NAPOLCOM remains firm in holding police personnel accountable and enforcing the highest standards of integrity and respect for human rights.
