The Pride Night, organized by LoveYourself Inc., is a community celebration of LGBTQIA+, wherein the activity promotes diversity, equality, and respect for all. It provides a safe space where everyone can freely express themselves and celebrate inclusion.
The event started around 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, gathering thousands of LGBTQIA+ people and supporters for the Pride Month celebration at the Circuit Makati.
In an official statement, LoveYourself Inc. said the event had to end earlier than planned after a generator set caught fire near the end of the program.
It added that emergency and safety personnel responded immediately and addressed the situation.
“The safety of everyone in attendance has always been, and will always remain, our highest priority. Ending the program was a necessary precaution to ensure that all guests could leave the venue safely,” it stated.
It also apologized to performers who were unable to perform after the event was cut short.
“We also extend our sincere apologies to the performers who were unable to take the stage. Your passion, time, and effort mean so much to this celebration, and we are truly grateful for your commitment,” the organizer said.
“Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this time. We sincerely hope everyone returned home safely. Once again, thank you for being part of Pride Night 2026. Still, Happy Pride!,” it continued.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
