DepEd-NE warns applicants vs. fixers amid hiring process , Punto! Central Luzon

SANTA ROSA, Nueva Ecija – Stressing that the hiring process remains transparent and follows official guidelines, the Department of Education Schools Division Office of Nueva Ecija has strongly warned applicants against individuals offering assistance in securing positions in exchange for favors.

“Ito po, magbibigay ako ng isang seryosong paalala. ‘Pag may mga lumalapit po sa inyo na nagsasabing tutulungan nila kayong makakuha ng item o posisyon sa DepEd, huwag n’yo pong i-entertain, huwag pong maniniwala, lalo na po kung may hinihinging kapalit ano man po yan,” said Nueva Ecija Schools Division superintendent Ronaldo Pozon.

He emphasized that the division adheres to the localization law and the Registry of Qualified Applicants, noting that applicants are aware of their corresponding points and will be contacted once they are next in line for hiring.

Pozon advised applicants to coordinate only with authorized personnel for recruitment and hiring concerns, adding that the SDO-Nueva Ecija is open for inquiries.

For School Year 2026–2027, SDO-Nueva Ecija recorded 3,994 applicants competing for 388 vacant positions across kindergarten to senior high school levels, including non-teaching items.

Pozon extended congratulations to applicants who may be selected for the vacant positions and reminded them to do their best in their assignments.

He also encouraged those who may not be selected during this hiring cycle to continue improving their qualifications and engage in professional development for future hiring opportunities.

The reminder was issued in relation to the opening of classes on June 8, as the division reiterated guidance for applicants amid ongoing hiring activities.

It comes in line with the national government’s thrust for transparent and efficient public service under the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. Maria Asumpta Estefanie C. Reyes/PIA-3
