ANGELES CITY — High investment in the future of young Angeleños is restocked, so to speak, as Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, chairman of the City College of Angeles Board of Trustees, signed a triple memorandum of agreement with Universal Access and Systems Solutions (UAS), a renowned IT infrastructure and managed services company.
Formalized on Aug. 26, the partnership creates more opportunities for CCA students and faculty to gain industry exposure, develop relevant skills, and better prepare for future careers.
The MOA covers three key areas: Faculty Immersion, which will give faculty members direct exposure to current industry practices and standards; Student Internship, which will provide students with hands-on experience in actual IT and BPO work environments; and the Credentialing-to-Employment Agreement, which aims to establish a clearer pathway from professional certification to potential employment opportunities.
Through these initiatives, CCA students will have opportunities to apply what they learn in the classroom to real-world work settings. The experience can help them strengthen their technical skills, confidence, professionalism, and overall readiness for the workplace.
The partnership also benefits CCA faculty by providing opportunities to better understand current industry practices and workforce requirements, helping ensure that classroom instruction remains responsive to the evolving needs of employers.
With the support of the Angeles LGU, partnerships such as this continue to strengthen the connection between education, skills development, and employment. The goal is to give young Angeleños greater access to meaningful learning experiences and clearer pathways toward their chosen careers.
The MOA marks another step toward providing students with opportunities not only to earn their degrees, but also to gain the experience, credentials, and skills they need to compete in today’s workforce.
