AUTHORITIES dismantled a shabu (methamphetamine) laboratory operating within an apartment on D. Jakosalem St. in Cebu City, following a joint operation by the Police Regional Office (PRO) 7, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 7 and the Cebu City Police Office.
PRO 7 Chief Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan confirmed that the raid, conducted Monday, June 30, 2025, targeted a chemical engineer who had been under surveillance for five months.
The suspect is believed to be the primary manufacturer of both shabu and party drugs, with a distribution network extending across Central Visayas, Western Visayas (including Boracay), and as far as Zamboanga City.
Further details regarding the arrested suspect’s identity, the quantity of illegal drugs seized and other evidence found at the scene are expected to be released as the investigation progresses. (AYB)
