Marcos on info that he’s ill: Do I look sick?

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Wednesday dismissed as fake news circulating information that he has been ill.

At the sidelines of a situational briefing in the Office of Civil Defense, Palace reporters asked Marcos for comment on the information that he had a medical emergency and was supposedly hospitalized.

“Nandito ako. Ah, kasi lumabas ‘yung ano, ‘yung report — ‘yan ang kailangan ninyong bantayan. Do I look sick? ‘Yan ang kailangan nating bantayan, mga fake news na ganyan, unless it comes from a credible source,” Marcos said.

“Tama, ang dami kong kaibigan tumawag sa akin, ‘Okay ka ba, Okay ka ba?’ Wala! Kalokohan lang ‘yan,” he added.

Marcos said he had a meeting on Tuesday and he also presided over a command conference with some commanders.

“I spent the rest of the day reading my briefs and doing paperwork. Nagulat lang ako when they said medical emergency,” Marcos said.

He said the circulating information were totally fake.

“I do not even have a cold, I do not have anything wrong with me. I’m fine. Thank you for your concern,” Marcos told reporters.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
