Atong Ang arrives in Mandaluyong Court to file complaint vs ‘Alyas Totoy’

Businessman Charlie “Atong” Ang arrived at the Mandaluyong Court on Thursday to file a complaint against Julie “Dondon” Patidongan “alyas Totoy,” who linked him to the case of the missing sabungeros.

Ang was accompanied by his lawyer Atty. Lorna Kapunan.

Kapunan on Wednesday said that Patidongan came out with his story after he knew that his extortion wouldn’t work and that Ang was about to file a complaint against him.

Patidongan, one of the accused in the case of missing sabungeros, said Ang was the mastermind behind the abductions in Emil Sumangil’s exclusive interview on “24 Oras” on Wednesday night.

He said Ang and three others were behind the abductions from 2021 to 2022 and that more than 100 were killed after being taken away.

“Si Mr. Atong Ang…siya ang pinaka-mastermind at siya naguutos na talagang iligpit ng mga ‘yan,” Patidongan said.

(Mr. Atong Ang is the main mastermind and the one who orders to punish those sabungeros.)

Kapunan, however, said that Patidongan’s statements are “all lies.”

“They’re false. And I think it did come at a time when it became evident to him that Mr. Atong Ang was not going to give in to his extortion of P300 million, which he also tried, attempting to several members of the board,” said Ang’s lawyer.

Kapunan said complaint affidavit to be filed against Patidongan alleges conspiracy to commit attempted robbery with violence and intimidation, grave threat, grave coercion, incriminating against innocent persons, and slander.  —VAL, GMA Integrated News
