Over 440,000 people have been affected in Mindanao, mostly in BARMM, by the Inter-tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and Low Pressure Area (LPA) that brought rains in the country in May and early June. National and local elections in BARMM saw around 23 election-related violence incidents, affecting 2,940 families, with reported families displaced as home-based, 35 people injured, and 15 reported deaths from election-related violence. Displacement incidents in the Bangsamoro Region are generally due to longstanding issues on land disputes, often entwined with political rivalry and clan feuds, while military operations against Non-State Armed Groups (NSAGs), annual flooding, and weather disturbances also trigger cyclical displacements, making the displacement situation complex and often protracted.
