Vantage Energy, the first affiliate retail electricity supplier of Manila Electric Company (Meralco), has expanded into the Mindanao market through new retail electricity supply agreements with local food manufacturing and processing companies, Philippine Spring Water Resources, Inc. (PSWRI) and Cagayan Corn Products Corporation (CCPC). The company’s president, Ernesto Cabral, highlighted the tremendous growth potential in Mindanao and expressed commitment to providing stable and dependable electricity supply to fuel the region’s economic growth and sustainable development. As part of its long-term strategy, Vantage Energy plans to educate Mindanao stakeholders on the benefits of the Competitive Retail Electricity Market (CREM) and empower electricity end-users to make informed decisions based on their energy requirements, following the Department of Energy’s launch of the Retail Competition and Open Access (RCOA) framework in Mindanao, which allows eligible consumers to choose their retail electricity supplier.
