Sharon Cuneta recently visited Mindanao with her husband, former Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, and described the experience as “one of the highlights of my life.” Pangilinan received the formal endorsement from the United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP) for his Senate re-election bid during their visit to the Moro Islamic Liberation Front’s (MILF) Camp Darapanan in Sultan Kudarat. Cuneta expressed her love for Mindanao, saying it has been in her heart since she was little, and referred to the region as her “baby.” She has been fascinated by the Muslim culture since childhood and has shown her support for the region, including launching a fundraiser for Marawi in 2018. Cuneta emphasized her love for the people of Mindanao, stating “I have to let you know, we are all brothers and sisters, my love for you is real.”
