Authorities arrested three police officers who allegedly caused a disturbance inside a bar in Barangay Sikatuna Village, Quezon City, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said Sunday
In a statement, QCPD said authorities received a report through the 911 hotline about the disturbance on Friday.
“Witnesses revealed that three male individuals, later identified as police officers, were responsible for the commotion, leading to the immediate arrest of the suspects,” QCPD said.
Authorities also confiscated 9mm pistols, magazines loaded with 25 live ammunition, and police identification cards from the police officers.
The three police officers are facing Alarms and Scandals charges.
“We will never tolerate any misconduct within our ranks. Every police officer must uphold discipline and serve as an example to the public. We will continue to enforce accountability to preserve the integrity and trust of the organization,” QCPD acting director Police Colonel Randy Silvio said. — Mariel Celine Serquiña/BM, GMA Integrated News
