Operations of the Metro Rail Transit-Line 3 (MRT-3) were temporarily limited on Wednesday morning, June 17, after a technical issue was reported. Normal operations resumed after an hour.
The trips were initially temporarily limited from North Avenue to Shaw Boulevard stations and vice versa .
The technical problem was traced to the area between Buendia and Guadalupe stations, according to GMA News reporter James Agustin.
“A provisional service from North Avenue to Shaw Boulevard and vice versa has been implemented as of 5:50 AM due to a technical issue between Buendia and Guadalupe stations,” the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said in a statement.

Operations went back to normal at 6:57 a.m., according to a report of Bam Alegre on Unang Balita.
“MRT-3 operations along the entire line have returned to normal,” the DOTr said in a statement.
“Rest assured that crowd management measures continue to be actively implemented to ensure passenger safety. Train deployment is likewise being managed to better accommodate passenger demand,” it added.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and thank you for your understanding and patience,” the statement read.
