A mother and her six-year-old son were found dead inside their residence in Valenzuela City, with their bodies covered in a blanket and hidden under the bed.
According to Emil Sumangil’s exclusive report in “24 Oras” on Friday, the suspect hit the victims with a hammer on their heads.
The victims were identified as Janice Joy Castro and Jare Aisvon Jerome.
CCTV footage showed that the suspect followed the victims when they left their house.
And when they returned, the suspect can be seen at a distance from the victims.
A few minutes later, the suspect – wearing a hat and long sleeves – was caught on camera coming out from the victims’ house.
The suspect was later identified by the witnesses as Michael Francisco, who was found to be a friend of Janice’s detained husband.
Investigation is still ongoing and authorities are looking into the angle of illegal drugs.
Francisco, who is at large, is facing two counts of murder.
Meanwhile, the family of the victims is seeking justice.
“Pinalo ng martilyo, sobra-sobrang hirap ang inabot ng anak ko,” said Eugenia Castro, Janice’s mother.
