Water service interruptions will continue for Maynilad customers until next month, the company said.
According to Oscar Oida’s “24 Oras” report on Wednesday, water service interruptions for Maynilad customers will range from eight to 21 hours a day until May 16.
Among the affected cities are Parañaque, Pasay, Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, and several areas in Cavite.
Maynilad said this is due to low water production caused by increased turbidity or sediment in the water from Laguna Lake.
Maynilad added that water tankers continue to make the rounds to supply water to customers.
At least one customer is close to being fed up.
Maynilad said that it will continue to work on ways to supply enough water to its customers.
“Nagtatayo ang Maynilad ng bagong treatmant facility. Dagdag ito sa Muntinlupa din, matatapos ito within the year, and ang ine-expect natin na initial output niya na 50 million liters per day magiging available siya by December this year,” Rufo added. — Sherylin Untalan/BM, GMA Integrated News
