Marikina river down to first alarm

The Marikina River is now at first alarm, the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office announced early Thursday morning.

The first alarm was announced at 5 a.m., with the water level at 15.8 meters. The source is the Sto. Niño Water Level Gauging Station.

Weather bureau PAGASA raised an orange rainfall warning over Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija and Bulacan at 2 a.m. on Thursday.

Yellow warning level: Metro Manila, Rizal, and Quezon(General Nakar).

Associated hazard: Possible FLOODING in flood-prone areas
