Several roads in Caloocan City will be closed Tuesday evening in connection with the Independence Day celebration Wednesday morning, Mayor Dale Gonzalo ‘Along’ Malapitan said.
In a Facebook post, Malapitan said the following roads will closed starting 11 p.m., June 11, and will be reopened 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 12:
- Rizal Avenue corner 10th Avenue (both lanes)
- Samson Road corner Lapu-lapu Street (both lanes)
- EDSA Southbound Lane (going to Balintawak)
Alternate routes
Motorists from EDSA going to MacArthur Highway are advised to take the same route or take General Simon and turn left at Calle Uno. Those from MacArthur Highway going EDSA can also take their regular route.
Vehicles from MacArthur Highway going to Manila are advised to turn right at Reparo Road, turn left at Caimito Road, and turn right at Samson Road.
Those coming from Rizal Avenue going to MacArthur can turn left at 10th Avenue, turn right at Heroes Del 96, and turn left at Caimito Road or Dagohoy Street.
Motorists from Rizal Avenue going to EDSA are advised to turn right at 10th Avenue and turn left at B. Serrano Street.
Vehicles from Rizal Avenue going to Sangandaan can turn left at 10th Avenue and turn right at A. Mabini Street.
Those coming from Samson Road going to Monumento Circle are advised to use A. Mabini street or Heroes Del 96.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
