MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will carry out weekend road reblocking and repairs along 14 road segments in Quezon City starting 11 p.m. on Friday.
According to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the affected roads will remain under repair until 5 a.m. on Monday, August 4.
Major roads scheduled for reblocking include C5 Road fronting Petron Gas Station, Quezon Avenue from Hi-Top Supermarket to before BID Road, and two separate portions of Quezon Avenue — from after the BIR office to before the underpass.
Five stretches of Payatas Road will also undergo repairs: from Bayanihan Street to Abris Street, Payatas Bridge to Lanzones Street, Mahagony Street to Molave Street, and Mon Vulcanizing Shop to Bicol Street — all on the second lane from the sidewalk.
The Mindanao Avenue Underpass will also be affected, both southbound from the center and northbound on the first lane from center.
Along Commonwealth Avenue, two locations are included: from Don Fabian to Manggahan MRT Station on the first lane from the center, and the inner lane fronting the University of the Philippines.
Reblocking will also cover E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue fronting MDC and Wilcon Libis; Aurora Boulevard eastbound from 15th Avenue to 20th Avenue; and westbound from Burger King and Chowking after F. Castillo.
Motorists are advised to avoid these areas and take alternate routes to prevent traffic delays.
