Presidential adviser calls on Italian bizmen to invest in PHL

MILAN, Italy – Presidential adviser Dennis Anthony Uy called on the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Southeast Asia in Milan last March 8 to look into possible business opportunities in the Philippines. 

During a meeting arranged by the Philippine Consulate General in Milan, Uy, who is the presidential adviser on digital transformation and a member of the Presidential Advisory Council, shared with Italian Chamber president Riccardo Rocca the many positive economic developments in the Philippines that he said Italian companies should take advantage of. 

Uy said Italian companies could invest in infrastructure, transportation, defense, telecommunications, information technology, power generation, and many others. Uy, who is the co-founder and CEO of Converge ICT and Special Envoy of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to the Republic of Korea, also encouraged the Italian Chamber to organize a business mission to the Philippines. 

Uy also had a telephone conversation with President Francesco Buzzella of the National Federation of the Chemical Industry of Italy and of the Federation of Industry of Lombardy. 

In their conversation, Uy also invited President Buzzella to take a second look at the Philippines and explore possible investment opportunities in the country.
