Pakistani gunned down in his resort

DINALUPIHAN, Bataan — Two still unidentified men shot and killed a Pakistani national inside his resort in Barangay J.C. Payumo here Tuesday afternoon.

Police Capt. Michelle Agnetha Gaviola, Bataan police information officer, said two men, one wearing black shirt and bonnet and the other wearing white shirt gunned down Pakistani Imran Akhtar, 44, in Aryan Resort.

She said that upon receiving a report of the shooting incident, personnel of the Dinalupihan police led by chief of police Lt. Col. Joel Aparejado proceeded to the resort and found the body of the victim.

Gaviola said investigation showed that the victim entertained the suspects who were inquiring on the resort and later gunshots were heard.

Jenna Manalang Akhtar, wife of the Pakistani, said she was in the second floor of the resort building when her mother informed her that a guest was asking for booking the next day.

She said she does not know of any enemy of her husband of 18 years.  The Pakistani left her three children aged 6 to 17 years.
