How to study at Ateneo, La Salle for free

THE best and the brightest poor students entering college in the metro usually aim for the University of the Philippines because tuition is free. But getting into UP — the country’s top higher education institution — is difficult. Enrollment is limited due to the large volume of applicants nationwide, assuming one hurdles its dreaded admissions test, the UPCAT.

But take heart, there’s Ateneo de Manila and De La Salle — both very expensive schools which, interestingly, offer a good number of scholarships to applicants who top their respective entrance exams.
