2 elderly nabbed in separate PDEA buy-busts , Punto! Central Luzon

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Elderly Filipino Week 2026, slated Oct. 1-7, will be no celebration for two senior citizens who will have to spend time behind bars after being arrested in two separate anti-drug operations in Bataan and Pampanga by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

A 71-year-old female drug peddler and four other suspects yielded 20 grams of suspected shabu valued at P136,000 after their arrest in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Lamao, Limay on Oct.1.

PDEA Bataan Provincial Office identified the main target of the operation as alias Neng, and her cohorts by their aliases Mhaysia, 32; Em-Em, 21; Onas, 50; and Totoy, 47.

In Mabalacat City, a 60-year-old male drug peddler was nabbed by operatives of PDEA-Pampanga and PDEA-Tarlac in a drug entrapment operation in Barangay Sapang Biabas on Oct. 3, resulting to the confiscation of 10 grams of suspected shabu valued at P68,000.

PDEA identified the arrested suspect as alias Nilo, a resident of Barangay Dau, Mabalacat City.

All the six apprehended suspects in the two operations will be temporarily detained at PDEA-3 detention facility in the City of San Fernando.

Charges for violation of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are being prepared for filing in court against the suspects.
