STARTING this September 2026, the widely known outreach of the city government People’s Day will not be conducted at the city hall grounds anymore.
Instead, it will be held at the barangay level for the convenience of all residents in the area.
Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy himself announced this during the Kuyog Ta sa Serbisyo sa Baryo (KSB) this morning (July 11) in barangay Bayabas.

Uy said the People’s Day starting in September will be held every Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
In those afternoons, the mayor will devote his time to continue listening to each constituent’s concerns in his office.

During a People’s Day episode, each person has varied concerns different from the others and the city government will address those concerns accordingly.
Meanwhile, KSB will continue every Saturday and Suruy-Suruy sa Baryo on selected weekdays in specific barangays as scheduled.
In the activity this morning at Bayabas National High School, 2206 residents availed of various services such as medical checkup, dental checkup, massage, haircut, circumcision, free medicines and more.
Also on hand were employees of the various city departments to assist.
Similar services can be availed during the Suruy-Suruy sa Baryo, the schedule of which is reflected below. ALL PHOTOS FROM CIO
