The Mindanao Daily News Network (MDN) is set to hold the 5th Mindanao Governance & Leadership Excellence Awards (MGLEA) program and awards ceremony, June 25, at the Limketkai Luxe Hotel in Cagayan de Oro City. This year’s event promises to be an exciting celebration of outstanding leadership and governance in Mindanao.
Recognizing Outstanding Leaders
According to Dante M. Sudaria, Project Chairman and MDN President/CEO, the MGLEA aims to honor and give due recognition to the successful achievements of outstanding Mindanaoan leaders. “This is our fifth year of honoring and giving due recognition to the successful achievements of our Outstanding Mindanaoan leaders,” Sudaria said. He added that the awardees deserve recognition for serving various government offices and sectors with best governance and leadership practices that could be emulated by future leaders.
A Celebration of Excellence
The awards ceremony will feature the presentation of award plaques to over 30 nominees in various categories. Allan Mediante, awards director and MDN editor-in-chief, emphasized the importance of recognizing leadership excellence in government leaders who have contributed to the well-being of communities. “From the media’s point of view, there is a need to give appreciation and recognition of the leadership excellence of government leaders who have contributed to the well-being of our communities,” Mediante said.

The event will be attended by notable guests, including Miguel Angelo C. Villa Real, 1st Vice President of the Philippine Veterans Bank, a partner of the MGLEA project. The award plaques will be presented by esteemed individuals, including Dr. Rosemary Sudaria, Vice President & General Manager of MDN; Dr. Manny Jaudian and Mr. Ruffy Magbanua, COPC Past Presidents and awards committee assessment co-chairs; Mr. Jerome, General Manager of Luxe Hotel; and Mr. Allan Mediante.
