The Office of the City Accountant has already completed and released the necessary documents for the processing of the subsidies for solo parents and indigent persons with disabilities and senior citizens, Councilor Jonjon Rodriguez said.
According to the Rodriguez, documents were already released in the first quarter of 2026, and the Office of the City Accountant further confirmed that the documents have already been transmitted to the offices responsible for the succeeding procedures leading to the actual release of the subsidies to qualified beneficiaries.
Rodriguez noted that this development signifies progress in processing the benefits, bringing recipients one step closer to receiving their much-needed financial assistance.
The councilor also expressed gratitude to the city officials and offices involved in facilitating the process.
He reaffirmed his commitment to closely monitor the status of the subsidy releases until the benefits are fully distributed to the intended beneficiaries.
It can be recalled that since assuming the chairmanship of the committee on social services, Rodriguez has consistently followed up on the status of the subsidies, coordinated with concerned offices, and sought regular updates, hence the release of 2024 subsidies for Solo Parents and PWDs in October and November last year.
