CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The Bagong Pilipinas “Serbisyo Caravan Fair,” which is the flagship project of President Ferdinand “bongbong” Marcos, Jr, will be in Cagayan de Oro on May 16-17, 2024.
In a press conference, First District Rep Lordan Suan said no less than the President Bongbong Marcos, his wife, the Speaker of the house of Representatives and heads of government agencies are expected to come to this city for this biggest event.
“We are very prepared to this big event as the caravan will give different types of services in just 2 days, aside from cash assistance amounting to 380 millions of pesos of services and P180 million pesos in cash to be given to famers and those severely affected by El Niño,” added Ponyong P. Gabonada, Bagong Pilipinas Deputy Secretary General, Lead, National Secretariat
Ponyong P. Gabonada has confirmed the presence of the president and his wife Liza Araneta Marcos. Liza is also set to go to EL Salvador City for the Love
He said the 2-day caravan is going to serve 30-40,000 residents of the city, Gabonada said.
The serbisyo caravan was already in Bukidnon a few months ago and served thousands of indigent, farmers and those severely affected by the El Niño.
Meanwhile, the sccess of the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) in Sultan Kudarat stemmed from the collaboration between the executive and legislative branches in making government services more accessible to the Filipino people.
Nearly 150,000 residents received over PHP1.2 billion in cash aid and other assistance from at least 55 government agencies during the two-day caravan that concluded on Monday.
Deputy Speaker and Quezon 2nd District Representative David Suarez highlighted that the BPSF exemplifies how the government is prudently and effectively utilizing the budget to benefit citizens.
The BPSF is the nation’s largest service caravan, aimed at providing essential government services to underprivileged Filipinos.
The caravan features flagship government programs such as Kadiwa ng Pangulo, Passport on Wheels, and driver’s license registration.
Isabela 6th District Representative Inno Dy emphasized that the Marcos administration is sending a clear message that no one will be left behind in the nation’s progress.
Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, along with other members of the House of Representatives from Mindanao, officially opened the 12th BPSF in Isulan town on Sunday.
“This is the promise of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., and we will continue to provide more services in different parts of the country. We promise to bring the BPSF programs and services closer to the people,” the Speaker stated during the kickoff.
“You don’t need to go to Manila to access any government services. We will bring the government services closer to you. This is the vision of our President, and we in Congress will support him in this initiative,” he added.
