At least three truckloads of garbage were collected Thursday by the Quezon City Department of Sanitation and Cleanup Works and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority after a rally held by members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo near the EDSA People Power Monument.
In a report, Super Radyo dzBB’s Mark Makalalad said that the garbage was collected on White Plains Avenue, People Power Monument, and along EDSA near Camp Aguinaldo.
The radio report said Iglesia Ni Cristo members helped collect garbage and clean the area.
Plastic bottles and leftover food or food packaging composed most of the trash, according to Bowie Cruz of QC Department of Sanitation and Cleanup Works.
