The proclamation, signed by Acting Executive Secretary Ralph G. Recto by authority of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., aims to give residents a full opportunity to participate in and enjoy the city’s anniversary activities.
Coinciding with the celebration, Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso is set to deliver his State of the City Address (SOCA) at the Quirino Grandstand on the same day.
The address will mark the first year of Domagoso’s administration under his “Bilis Kilos 2.0” program, outlining key accomplishments and plans for the city.
The declaration allows Manileños to take part in the festivities as the capital city commemorates more than four centuries of its founding.
