Police BGen Marcial Mariano P. Magistrado IV paid final respects at the wake of Patrolman Jankent Tuazon in Loreto, Agusan del Sur, on Thursday, honoring the officer who died days after being electrocuted while serving a search warrant in Barobo, Surigao del Sur on July 25. Magistrado visited Tuazon’s home in Barangay Magaud, offering financial assistance to his family and assuring them of the organization’s support. He emphasized that the police force in Caraga will always remember Tuazon’s legacy. On July 25, Tuazon was electrocuted while serving Search Warrant No. 2025-41 in Barangay Bahi, Barobo, after coming into contact with an electrified metal fence. He was diagnosed with cardiac arrhythmia and later hypoxic encephalopathy due to electrocution. Magistrado awarded him the Medalya ng Sugatang Magiting on August 4. Tuazon, a member of the 1301st Maneuver Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 13, passed away on August 10 at age 28.
