CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, December 1, 2024. Ayala Land Hospitality has announced the upcoming renovation of Seda Centrio, which will necessitate a complete closure of the hotel from January to July 2025. This extensive project will enable significant upgrades and enhancements to the property, which has proudly served guests for 12 years.
“We are excited about this modernization project, which underscores our commitment to continually enhancing the guest experience and ensuring that the hotel remains a premier choice in the city,” said President and Chief Executive Officer George Aquino. “This initiative aligns closely with Cagayan de Oro’s inspiring development plans, further solidifying its status as a key destination in the region. As the city evolves and attracts more business and leisure travelers, this project positions the hotel to meet the increasing demands of a diverse clientele.”
The hotel-wide facelift will transform guestrooms, restaurants, function rooms, and shared amenities. While maintaining its signature minimalist design, the updated aesthetic will incorporate lighter colors infused with vibrant accents to create a more uplifting atmosphere.
Seda Centrio staff welcomes Ms. Mariana Zobel de Ayala, Senior Vice President of Ayala Land Leasing and Hospitality, during her visit to Seda Centrio on November 15, 2024.
“Guestrooms will include the addition of spacious suites, catering to travelers who value extra room to relax and unwind. The signature restaurant, Misto, will undergo a significant expansion, doubling its capacity to accommodate more diners. Additionally, the bar area will be enhanced to create a more inviting space for guests looking to unwind after work or enjoy a leisurely evening,” Aquino added.
The pool area will be adorned with vibrant greenery, providing a serene backdrop for diners at Misto; while the gym, upgraded with state-of-the-art fitness equipment, will ensure that guests have access to top-notch facilities during their stay.
Aquino stressed the renovation marks a significant milestone in the hotel’s history. As one of the brand’s first four hotels designed to meet the essential needs of business travelers, Seda Centrio has successfully established itself in the market. The growing demand for its services has prompted us to enhance our amenities, enabling us to cater to a broader audience while still appealing to our loyal patrons.
A select team will remain on-site, including staff from Sales and Reservations, who will be available to respond to client inquiries. Additionally, members from Housekeeping, Engineering, and Security will be present to ensure the ongoing maintenance and safety of the premises. This dedicated team is committed to providing exceptional service and support during the renovation, ensuring that guest needs are met seamlessly.
Some employees will be assigned to other Seda hotels for training, and assist with daily operations. This presents an excellent opportunity for them to gain insights into operations in major cities, allowing for invaluable professional and personal growth, and an opportunity for everyone to share best practices across Seda locations.
The hotel will provide regular updates regarding the availability of facilities and amenities, enabling guests to make timely bookings for future stays or events in anticipation of the hotel’s reopening in July 2025.
