Police Lieutenant Colonel Gerard Ace Pelare, spokesperson of PRO 7 Director Brigadier General Anthony Aberin, said the Cebu Police Provincial Office (CPPO) has already developed a security plan to support the Presidential Security Group in an event that the country’s highest official goes ahead with his visit.
Marcos’ visit, however, is still subject to confirmation.
“Rest assured that your Police Regional Office 7 will always perform its mandate committed to make sure that Central Visayas is safe and secured especially on special occasions in this case the fiesta of Liloan,” Pelare said.
According to Pelare, the regional police director will automatically act as the security supervisor and the provincial police director as ground commander in areas where the President will travel.
The traffic condition is one of the things that the police should keep an eye on during the fiesta celebration on May 27-28. (AYB/TPT)
