The conference aimed to establish a comprehensive security framework for the Dinagyang Festival 2025, scheduled for the last week of January.

Legada emphasized the festival’s cultural significance and the importance of collaboration, stating, “The Dinagyang Festival is not just a celebration of our rich culture and heritage but also a symbol of Iloilo’s unity and resilience. As we prepare for this major event, our priority is to create an environment where everyone can enjoy the festivities safely and without disruption.”

Attendees included Sub-Site Task Group Commanders, Task Unit Commanders, and representatives from the Iloilo Festivals Foundation, Incorporated (IFFI), government agencies, private organizations, barangay officials, and security forces.

“With everyone’s support, we can ensure that the Dinagyang Festival 2025 will be a celebration not only of our culture but also of safety and security. Let us work together to make this event a success,” Legada added.

The conference covered deployment strategies, traffic management, emergency preparedness, and public engagement. Plans were outlined to deploy quick-response teams, K9 units, and intelligence operatives to mitigate potential threats.

Assistance hubs and command posts will also be established to provide immediate support to festivalgoers. The ICPO called for public cooperation and vigilance.
