Person who dumped dead animal in Busay commits violation

THE person who carelessly dumped a dead animal in Sitio Lower Busay, Barangay Busay, Cebu City committed a violation of the city’s Environmental and Sanitation ordinance.

The deceased dog caused a stir among the residents of Sitio Lower Busay and its surrounding areas around 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 6, after it was mistaken for a human body that had been left there.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Janette Rafter, the deputy city director for operations at the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO), claimed that no one has been identified as having abandoned the dog’s body in Malubog based on the police’s inquiry because the area is desolate.

“Sa pagkakaron ang atung kapulisan sa Malubog nagsubay gyud sa mga CCTV pa which is it will take more time, kay kato nga area layo-layo syag silingan secluded sya murag mga 200 meters away daw ang last nga balay nga murag makita ato nga area,” Rafter said.

(At the moment, our police in Malubog are still tracking the CCTVs, which will take more time, because that area is secluded and far from the neighbors, and it seems like the last house that can be seen in this area is about 200 meters away).

The only thing the CCPO can do now is to urge the public to contact the police if they witness someone dumping a dog’s dead body, she added.(AYB, TPT)
