Lieutenant Colonel Randy Caballes, chief of Talisay City Police Station, identified the suspect as Michael Oberes Dente, 34.
According to Caballes, Dente was caught on surveillance camera stealing items from the house of a certain Joseph Mari Plaza Casas, 22, in Laridia Ville, including a Honda Dio motorbike worth P60,000, an Acer laptop with charger worth P46,500, and other valuables, all totaling P161,200, around 3:30 a.m. of April 30.
Caballes said the burglary was discovered on May 2 at 8:30 a.m. upon review of the CCTV footage, and the suspect was arrested in the evening of the same day.
The stolen items were recovered from the suspect.
Dente also yielded substance believed to be shabu worth P34,000 during his arrest.
Dente hails from Sitio Mananga 1, Barangay Tabunok, but transferred to Barangay Cansojong, where his live-in partner resides.
He was previously arrested in November 2021 for robbery, but was freed after the victim did not file a case against him. (BBT/TPT)
