AN ELDERLY man who was applying for a police clearance at the Minglanilla Police Station landed in jail on Monday, September 25, 2023, after the police discovered that he had a pending murder case.
The suspect was identified as Salvador Tapic Paragoso, 61, a construction worker from Barangay Tungkop, Minglanila.
The Minglanilla police under the command of Captain Kalvin Jomari Golitod stated in a spot report that they immediately served the arrest warrant issued by Judge James Stewart Himalalon of Regional Trial Court branch 7 in Cebu City against Paragoso, after learning about his murder case while processing his police clearance.
No bail has been granted by the court for Paragoso’s temporary liberty.(DVG, TPT)
