RAFI Microfinance has welcomed 40 new college scholars under its Bugsay Scholarship program, raising the total to 147 beneficiaries since its launch in 2020.
The program supports children of RAFI Microfinance microentrepreneurs from across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao through financial aid, mentorship, and values formation, helping them pursue higher education in both private and state universities.
“I am grateful that I was able to complete my studies with support not just financially, but morally and emotionally,” shares pioneering scholar Christine Angel Ando who is now employed at RAFI Microfinance.
Beyond funding, the program instills the values of God-Centeredness, Integrity, Respect, and Service to prepare scholars as future leaders and changemakers.
