ABOUT 1,000 ambulant vendors and stall holders participated in the Carbon Night Market on M.C. Briones Street, Barangay Ermita, Cebu City.

According to Robert Barquilla, operations head for the Office of the City Markets, that merchants who take part in the activity, which runs from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. of the following day, came from Plaridel Street and F. Gonzales Street, and the second floor of the interim market.

Plaridel Street, which was formerly one-way, is now two-way, according to Barquilla, in order to improve traffic flow in the area.

As usual, the vendors will pay P50 as tax, P60 to market organization UMC-4, P20 to the barangay, and P20 to each of the vendor organizations. (PAC, TPT)
