VP Sara to Pinoys: Honor memories of departed loved ones by leading meaningful lives

Vice President Sara Duterte on Thursday urged Filipinos to remember and honor the memories of their departed loved ones through engaging in a more meaningful life.

“l am one with the Christian faithful in the solemn observance of All Souls’ Day. May this become an opportunity for Filipino families to be together to celebrate the lives of the departed and offer earnest prayers for the salvation of their souls,” Duterte said in a statement.

“Let us honor the memories of those who have gone before us by leading more meaningful lives guided by the values of love, forgiveness, and peace,” she added.

On November 1, Duterte called on Filipinos to pray and reflect on the saints’ faith and devotion to God.

In a statement, Duterte said that the nation is now in pause to honor all saints whose blessedness “reminded the world of God’s compassion, mercy, and enduring love.”

The Vice President also urged Filipinos to ask God for continued blessing of strength and healing as a nation.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
