Vice President Sara Duterte on Monday morning cast her vote for the 2023 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) in her hometown in Davao City.
Duterte voted at the Daniel R. Aguinaldo National High School in Barangay Matina Crossing at past 8:50 a.m., according to Jaycel Villacorte’s report on Super Radyo dzBB.
Her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, is also expected to vote in the same polling precinct.
As the concurrent secretary of the Department of Education (DepEd), Duterte said that they are strictly monitoring all the schools being used as polling precincts for the BSKE.
She said that her office has not yet received any major problems so far.
The Vice President also encouraged all eligible Filipinos to exercise their right to vote in this election.
On Wednesday, Duterte visited the main office of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to check on the poll body and the DepEd’s command center for the BSKE.
